Authorities mentioned they were contacted by a man who found a automobile in Hanau smeared with reddish liquid

Approximately fifty automobiles have been covered with what seems to be human blood in the Germany's municipality of Hanau near Frankfurt, police confirm police.

Cars, exterior walls and postal boxes were marked, in some cases with Nazi symbols, they stated in a release.

Law enforcement report they were notified in the late hours on Wednesday evening, when a individual discovered that a car in the Lamboy district of Hanau had been covered with a reddish substance.

The substance had been drawn in the form of a banned symbol, they stated.

Police then discovered many other smeared automobiles and building exteriors in the nearby vicinity.

Swastikas are banned in Germany under laws prohibiting the public exhibition of Nazi-era symbols.

Law enforcement report early analysis indicate the liquid was most likely human bodily fluid.

"There is still no clue as to its source; officials are presently not cognizant of any physical harm in connection with the event," they commented.

Municipal representatives announced they were working "to solve the case" and have requested to the community for information.

An important political figure commented the incident made him speechless and required to be addressed quickly.

"This act strikes at the center of Hanau and reopens the pain of the right-wing attack in 2020," he stated on social media, referring to the murder of nine individuals by a gunman targeting residents of foreign heritage in February 2020.
